Robin, I'm jealous of the Polaris, it's in my "to be acquired" list. I'm a jlc fan. Have 1 reverse, have a reverso rouge on its way soon, have the Amox DBS, and have been looming at a Cartier ballon blue with the jlc chrono. I think this watch hobby is getting out of hand quickly.....

I need help...

Thanx. Yes I'm a big JLC fan too. My old man has 4 of them at the moment...

But I still consider Rolex as one of the best/robust/ daily watches anyway.

Cheers

This thread doesn't remind you of the sterotypical BMW owner at all.

Just started my watch collection about 4-5 years ago...the first was the blue faced 007 "Gun Barrel" Omega Seamaster, the second was the black faced 007 "Casino Royale" Omega Seamaster and the most recent is the Victorinox Infantry Chronograph.

As you can probably tell; I have a passion for 00.

^^^
You should swap the PO for the quantum of solace 007 watch, that one is by far the best 007 watch out there. Gun grip face looks good.

I'd appreciate if the watch aficionados in this thread can help me determine what the rate of a used watch should be. More specifically, I know someone looking to sell their Hublot Big Bang Steel-Ceramic. It's $14,800 new, MSRP. I think even at a good discount from the MSRP it is a lot to spend on a watch, and would only consider it if I am able to purchase at a real bargain, and if the quality matches the price.

Any opinions on the watch and/or what the used value should be?

Nothing. If I want to know what time it is I look at my phone, or there will usually be a clock somewhere,

Probably worth around 7-8K. I would offer 4-5k

Yeah, and there's usually a bus or train if you need to get around, don't need a Bimmer. Why do people like you always chime-in to give your useless opinion in an off-topic thread?

Btw, I have a TAG aquaracer auto, a Tissot 516 and quadrato, a vintage Seiko auto chrono and diver, and just got a Skytimer pilot. Most of them don't keep time as well as my swiss army; silly me.

I don't have a 3-series so perhaps that makes me a troll in this thread. Nothing special in my collection. I've come close to pulling the trigger on a Speedmaster and IWC Portofino a couple of times but always ended up buying camera lens instead.

In the meantime, I cycle between one of two Seiko Sportura chornos, a Hamilton Auto Chrono, and LumTec Combat B8 chrono. I think I only have a pic of the LumTec at the moment (composition is off but hey...this isn't the photography subform ). The shell is a souvenir from a work trip.

I think I already posted this in the POTD thread, though. Judging me again would be like double jeopardy.
