American Gangster is a terrible movie

Tried to rip off the god father, failed miserably. I really hoped it was going to be a good movie, but it failed.

Failed miserably? Far from.

I thought it was a good film.

Didn't remind me of the God Father at all.

I saw the true life documentary on Frank Lucas last night. He and his initial partner were some cold blooded sukas.

1. Shit goes down while he is in church
2. Old mob boss dies he forms new mob
3. Entire scene where he tells the old mob boss he isnt getting his money and gives him some then kills him

I can think of more, they obviously took some intense scenes and styles

The entire movie was suspenseful, with no action, and i hated the cop.

AND DAVID ROTH IS IN THE MOVIE.

they even did it from the same angle with the same tone, theres alot of parallels in the two movies, that is undeniable, obviously partially because of the genre.

SPOILER!! SPOILER!! SPOILER!! SPOILER!! SPOILER!!
No spoiler code?? blah..
I thought it was regular to see this happen in a mob film?? lol..
And are you talking about where he tells the OTHER mob boss, not the 'old one', that he is only getting 20% or whatever. Then asks him for the money he owes later on, and shoots him in front of everyone on the street.

I thought it had some good stuff to soak into my brain. ^___^
To not say I'm going to do something, and then not follow through with it.
To be careful who I trust.
Some other stuff that people should keep in mind.

I also liked when he said..
"The loudest man in the room is also the weakest man in the room."
