241E

I just got my DME flashed (just DME and nothing else) and I also get 241E as program revision in INPA?

Yes 7854317 is 241E

The program (operating system) area has changed. The map data (calibration) remains the same.

I can tell you guys I was on 240e..then saw the update to 241e back in June. I plugged it into our software machine to upgrade..took 10 min lol. (I work for a BMW dealership). So it's not a significant update. I'd say as long as you're on 240e you're good. Like Mike said (and my tuner at Turner Motorsport said to me) the maps are laid out the same, so no difference on that end

I just got mine updated today as well to E89X-16-11-500, what version is this, 241E still? Anyone out there now?? I had E89x-11-03-511 which i found out was the 200E on my 2011 M3 built on 8/2011.. What improvements? Does it take the car time to adopt to the new software or does it right off the bat?

Adaptation is always taking place but when software level me change there is an adaptation clear so it will take additional time and be a little rusty at first.

240/241E will likely be the last software level so you shouldn't expect any future updates.

Does anyone know that if the car is tuned, will updating the DME erase the tune?

Not sure if this appropriate to revive but for anyone still interested in this pretty complete list the "most likely" final revision for this platform was added a few versions ago.
