Absolutely agree!! Just my feeling. Beige is a more
mature interior colour, black is more sport orientated.
Same goes for wood trim vs carbon trim.

To each there own as you said. That's why there is custom interiors available I suppose. I think this kind of interior looks out of place with a whole bunch of
mods like wheels suspension, etc. Fine if car is bone stock otherwise you sending mixed messages.... Mature banking exec or lawyer, but likes to street race for pink slips on weekends!!! Bumper sticker... My other car is a Bentley

BTW I am not knocking anyone, just having some fun with my opinion

I'm not a big fan of bamboo. It looks OK but I wish they had made it more brown.

The bamboo is growing on me but I'd prefer the carbon leather dash over the aluminum. Here's mine (dirty floor mats, I know... but these are clean compared to a week ago!)

Just to keep the thread alive... here is mine with carbon trim... this interior color looks much better in person and definitely gives the car a more classy look... which doesn´t mean you can´t mod... just have to be careful on how you mix and match.

This is the best application of this color interior.

Carbon Fiber is too dark, it looks clumsy against the black dash.

Extended bamboo is (sorry) hideous...beige-colored hard plastic is a no-no.

But this...this is nice.

So anyone have any good tips for DEEP cleaning the leather?

I use leather cleaner and conditioner and its holding up well but still looks dirty to me, especially when comparing it to the passenger side.

I use BMW products and it has been working fine... no difference in color from my drivers side to the passenger side.

But you can also use Leatherique products which is pretty much the best you can use... in my case I havn´t felt the need to use anything but the regular oem products.

Bamboo looks great. I'll be ordering my car Jerez/Bamboo/Carbon Leather. I think this combo is to die for!

Accurate

The first postings in this thread look the most accurate. Just keep in mind how much ambient light is present in each of these...where the sun and/or other lighting is reflecting from in relation to the camera. Here are mine. They're over exposed to show how much color is there. Just average the values of the two photos to get an idea...somewhere in between.

You can see the difference in appearance due to lighting. Id say the darker version looks more true to life.

Until I saw BB in person, I thought it had too much yellow or was anything but tan, and that had me considering only Fox Red or Black.

The tan that is bamboo beige appeals to me. In fact, now that's the interior that I'm going with, but I'm undecided on the extended leather or not. While I like the cleaner contrast offered by the non-extended, the additional leather in the extended package may be easier to work with than the black plastic; not too mention the highlighting of any and all foreign objects which black does so well.

I would have to disagree. The extended leather is going to be much more difficult to work with then the black plastic. Have you ever scratched a piece of that leather? It is EXPENSIVE to replace. And being that this is bamboo it is going to show dirt and scratches much more.

I'll take your word for the expensive cost to replace the leather since that experience has eluded me; knock on wood.

The light color is not a problem. There has always been a light colored leather interior vehicle in the garage (usually wifey's), and as much as leather cleaner and conditioner are needed periodically for any leather, scratching hasn't been an issue. It helps when neither pets nor kids with toys inhabit the rides. However, my experience has been that it is easier to work with dirty/scuffed leather than it is repair scratches, dings, dents in the hard plastic. Case in point: Last year, BMW Svc Ctr techs pulled the dash of wife's SUV. When the work was done, it came back to me with a bevy of scratches, nicks, minor gouges on the plastic in various locations in the front seating area. That sort of "collateral damage" has been par for the course where plastic is concerned. The leather, for its part, was not immune to "collateral damage". There were the obvious black marks, even in places that cause one to wonder "How did that happen?" However, with a little work restoration was achieved. Unfortunately, the scars of service remain for the plastic. Regardless, having had a number of vehicles that had black or very dark gray interior surface areas, the way every little spec of dust is highlighted even shortly after a thorough detailing is not a plus IMO. Of course, that's just my pet peeve of sorts. To each his own.

Where do you see beige-colored plastic on an extended leather car? The additional beige piece are leather. As the option name implies.

i think id like:
SSII + bamboo beige + e93

at first, i thought the silver and beige leather in a 328i would look kinda foo foo, but after i saw it....i fell in love with that combo its now def what im looking for in my next car and im itching for it. but SSII has a little baby blue, so that might be an entirely different story. there arent any m3's here in so cal with that combo, so ill prolly never see that beautiful combo in real life.
