People can be so critical. Everyone at the track is better than the other person, you know? In reality, sure 18s are more appropriate for the track than 19s but in the end everyone is meeting to share a common interest with one another. I do not understand the "haters" either. I say, if you're there, you already have something in common so rather than being critical, look at the fact you have similar interests, offer suggestions and make friends.

So where do you run? Ive tried to get in on weekend track days with my 135i vert. Nobody allows me to run just because of the fact that the car is a drop top.

Hi,
Brake fade always. Even if you are having fun and not concerned about lap times I would suggest flushing the system with Motul 600 or 660. It's cheap, quick and will help your brake system to resist fade. You can also use it for daily driving without a problem. Quote:

Hi,
Yes exactly. They recommended those and Autoscope in Dallas installed them and did all the testing for tire clearance and I only use the spacers when I have the track wheels on. Probably going with StopTech early Spring when the season fires up again, only on the front though. Quote:

This is really odd becuase all the people I have met at the track (and I mean everyone) is very nice and even though it's very competitive, people share info, share tools and are very helpful and friendly regardless of what you drive. People might talk smack with their friends but the events I go to are very well managed and aholes are smacked down quick. This group of guys seems to have a very low tolerance for trouble makers and people are just nice to one another, regardless of what you're driving.

My 2008 E90 M3 Sedan:
No sunroof, EDC, 6 Speed MT, iDrive... Cloth seats. 3,611 with 3/4 Tank of fuel and no driver. The car kicks ass on track on square setup Rear Wheel/Tire PS2s, 10 mm spacers out back and a set of brake pads, with no other tweaks.
