new oil!!! no more castrol...

Went to dealer yesterday for oil and found a new brand of oil for s65 motors its blue with bmw logo and also has twin turbo written on the bottle i wasnt very pleased and still am reluctant to mix it with the castrol thats already in my car...

For Christ's sake...How can we use oil for our "NA" S65 with "Twin/Turbo" on the bottle ?
BMW recommend strictly only Castrol/TWS for ///M engines and that for the last 7 years !
Now in the last 6 months we had ...

1- Castrol/TWS
2- Castrol/EDGE
3- Shell/5H1T specially for Twin/Turbo , but also good for high NA rev. engines ... WTF ???
4- What's next....
Personal I think in Germany they see our S65 as history , because now suddenly every oil is just perfect !
Maybe we should try olive oil ?
First they f@cked up the bearings and now even the oil for it...

you're getting words confused. It says "Twin Power Turbo", which doesn't mean anything, it's just marketing jibberish. You think it says "Twin Turbo Power" which I can see that it is confusing to some people since it would be used in an NA engine.





This new oil is 10-60 weight and is exclusively for S85, S65 engines and last gen M3 and M5 NA engines.

Now I believe Shell updated the oil and probably put a better additive package in it. The only way to tell is to have someone run an oil sample of the clean oil.

BTW...Seems that my S65 is very happy with EDGE , runs a lot smoother than previous with TWS .
