Is the Performance knob weighted? I have the ZHP knob in my car and the added weight helps smooth out the roughness in the 1-2 shift.

Yes it refers to the e46 330i ZHP (Performance Package) shifter.

My ZHP knob comes in around 181 gram. I don't know how tightly BMW control the quality and weight difference between each one though. Stock e92 one was around 83 grams (after cutting off the boot). I don't have the performance one so someone else can help out. Hope this helps.
