It's times like this when you realize that you must live for the moment and not worry about what will happen when you are gone.....

Raise a glass for Ivka Kovacevic.

Happy Birthday Mike!

Sorry for your loss. While it will be a day for mourning, I am sure your wife's grandmother would want you to take some time and celebrate your day. Best wishes

Didn't want to post in that thread as it might side track...but here's some food for thought.

Couple of things.

By carbon fiber trim, are you referring to the OEM carbon leather? Usually, I see the OEM ones float for about $500-600 shipped.

For returning lease, there's no way you can return with anything besides YOUR originally equipped items. The check they perform now is so ridiculous.
As for selling your car to a random dealer, you(seller) have to sign off on your car indicating what has been changed, if you lie and they find out you're held liable. I don't think you'll even get that far when they start performing the standard checks on the car, anyways. I think your best option is to look for those guys that are always selling their OEM Interior parts when converting to a track car.

As for the interior, that combo will look nice for sure. But if I'm pushing to individualized my car..I might consider even going a more unique route. You're going to have IND customize it anyways, I'd say push it a bit further if you can. You'll have a nice combo, but one many others have/could have.

Hmm thanks for the food for thought

I'm gonna head to an upholstery shop here in Calgary tomorrow, get me a quote on something 'Individual' and as far as the trim yes it is the OEM Carbon Leather.. If someone from the E90post section wants it they can have it so that's why I'll be keeping the price a little higher because I'm sure there is demand and that price will include shipping if I decide to go ahead with the feeler. As for being more unique I think I'd be more than happy with Gloss Black trim from iND rather than go TOO unique to the point where I get bored and would rather have stayed with something simple.

Thanks for your input on this thread rather than my FS one.

PS - Can you send me a price shipped to T3R0H3 for your BBK WITH the endless pads.

Thanks bunnn

Hello Fellow Canadian ///M Drivers

Been busy the last few weeks trying to make a decision and am happy to report that I made it earlier this week. I purchased a spanking new M3 E92 2012 Le Mans Blue Metallic.

I was very close in picking up Mark's fantastic car very close indeed, however my wife finally came to the conclusion that if I change my 2011 e92 M3 (a wonderful car btw, only it did not have all the options I wanted when I got it then it was a great deal at the time) it has to be a brand new one.

So it turned out I found just what I was looking for and pulled the trigger earlier this week. I will pick her up Monday ... I will post photos when I get her and the great fall weather we have will hold out. If not the blue will give also nice contrast to a winter wonderland photo shoot

Later all ...

Cheers,

Rolf-Dieter

PS. Mark, should you see this, I am convinced looking at your car so many times made me decide on this nice Le Mans Blue. Glad to know all worked out with your sale in the end. Rolf-Dieter

I've got one pic of the car somewhere in the Canadian pic thread - don't really have any others.

The brakes are fantastic, I ran them at Calabogie and Mosport DDT, and they were fantastic, feels very much like OEM, except they bite a bit more, and there's no fade.

My car just arrived at the dealership, I paid $5700 for the competition package (though it was a special order and on a sedan), do you guys think I can complain to the dealer/BMW Canada on this one?

Never hurts to try though....

You better question your salesman/manager about that charge I also paid $2,900- and picked my car up today in Toronto it is a e92 2012 M3 manufactured in Sept 2011 .... see a screen shot of a section of my bill below....

Hey guys, just installed some carbon cabin filters from eas and I had a question regarding the item circled in the pics. What is it/ what does it do?
And also what does that button thing do?
I kinda struggled a bit getting it off and when I did, I played around with it and the button seemed to do nothing when depressed.

You're probably out of luck. That was close to the price the dealers paid invoice for the competition package for 2011 models, whether sedan or coupe. All other Canucks who have picked up 2011 have paid similar prices. Why it seems particularly unfair to you is because you are picking up one the last 2011 models and those who are picking up the early 2012 models are getting it for half the price.

Never hurts to ask. There might also have been incentives on the remaining 2011 sedans. There are on coupes at least... I might be able to find out. Let me know if you'd like me to look into it.

Good luck.

Damn I was totally lied to as to what that button did. So the button is down when the hood is closed, as soon as the hood is opened, the button releases and alarm sounds?
