yes as someone said, stablize angel eyes and hide some of the wirings.

Can they do something like what 2 series / M235i has:

some translucent or transparent eyebrowns? Im thinking of doing the DTM but wish to have the full E92 headlamp w/o being covered.

Unfortunately, I think Luis makes the eyebrow mandatory to hide wires and to stabilize the actual halos ... But good news is that he can custom paint these eyebrows to any color you wish (including "translucent" or "frosted") ... Don't go too light cuz it may expose unwanted wires, etc ... Just my 2 cents ... Good luck!!

With the white lighting, do you notice the "hot-spots" as observed in the images of the colored variants? I'd love this mod, only under the premise that the illumination is even throughout the corona

Best way to get a hold of Luis is to email him (be patient though):

no hot spots, they light up evenly.

Yup, Luis can customize headlights for any model of any brand car, so a"non-M E92" is perfect!! And yes, roughly USD $1,000 for the set if you get the "typical" options ... Tell him Jeff sent ya!!

That's perfect thank you. I'll let him know Jeff summoned me LOL. I'm in the UK so I'll be looking for the rings only and I'll do the retrofit by myself or with the help of a friend.

Do you know if Luis will send out the rings to the UK?

You're most welcome sir!!! Unfortunately, I believe these new flat-bottom DTM-style halos were Luis' own prototypes, which are NOT for individual sale (as far I know), ie, he needs your entire headlight assemblies for this mod ... However, if you just want his "standard" options, the turnover time is pretty fast (assuming he has stock) ... Just email him & see what he says, good luck!!

E92 DTM lights

Luis has done a darn good job of capturing the feel and essence of the DTM lights.

I would not say mass produced. I'm pretty sure that Luis (OSS Designs) is a custom made-to-order shop.
