e90, e92, e93 Rears
Hi all, I've fell in love with the "raised butt" feature that the e92 has. It just reminds me of a cocky women that knows she's all that .What is it about the car that makes it look like that? Are the back tires actually raised or what?
Also I noticed that neither the e93 (retractable hardtop) nor the e90 sedan have this feature. I"m shocked that the e93 doesn't as it looks just like the e92..except it can retract it's top lol. Anyways is there a way I can make a e93 or e90 have that feature as well? Do i need to change the diffuser or something? |

Obviously the sedan is going to be different by design, but maybe its the spoiler on the coupe that makes it better than the vert?

I think it is because of their tail lights. They all have different style. I myself really really hate the tail light of e90 M3s! But I have seen so many people that they like the sedan tail light more than the coupe.

I think it is a combination of the spoiler on the coupe, and the fact that it is a fast back vs. a notchback like the E93 that the OP is noticing. The rear bumper on the E92/E93 is the same part as are the tail lights. Obviously the fender and decklind sheetmetal is very different. |

So, that is where all the extra weight in the E93 goes, in it's big saggy butt

I agree with mksosel. And yeah I thought the coupe and convertible would look the same from the back too. but mkosel explains it.
Is there anyway to create that raised but look on the sedan? This might be kind of off but the entire back on the e92 looks vetically squished conpared to the other 2 versions |

the coupe and convertible are much more similar than either compared with the sedan. the difference is that the trunk on the sedan sits taller than the coupe - take a look at the top of the trunk on the sedan - it sits a good 3" or 4" above the bottom of the side windows, whereas the coupe and convertible sit about level with the bottom of the side windows.
