Oil temperature question
When my car is warmed up, the oil temperature needle sits just below or on the 100 degree celcius mark (the middle mark) ... if i push the car a little the oil temperature does go up, but if I then decide to drive the car slow to allow the oil to cool down it never returns to 100 degrees celcius but the needle sits just a tad over 100 degrees celcius, are other M3 E9x owners experiencing the same thing?
If i recall on my E46 M3 the oil temperature would settle back to its nominal value, being just on 100 deg C or just below this ...

Mine pretty much behaves like yours. It's fine. When pushed harder, it will hit 255 F on a warm day at the track as several of us have been reporting.

Mine rarely goes over the 1/2 mark....it seems its normal range is 1/2 to a width or two over 1/2......however I expect it to reach the next line (about 255F) at the track...
