Monster thumbtack in new tire: how to fix?
Just got a shipment of tires from Sonic MS via Tirerack USA. Found a little present in one of the tires.
It's almost 3/4" long (pretty hardcore thumbtack), and went straight into the tread block. No hissing or noticeable loss of pressure (yet, will recheck). Filling the tire seems excessive.. but, how would I proceed? Any advice is appreciated. Thankfully, it's still winter here. So I have until spring to figure this one out.

Thanks Cal!
I just want to figure out if it's something I really need to pursue. But since the tire isn't losing any air, I wonder if it's a big deal at all. I do plan on tracking these tires.. so it could be a concern. If it were the sidewall, obviously that is an issue. But I think that since it's in the tread block, it might not be a big deal. Hankook Canada suggests it might be unsafe.. trying to get a firm answer from them.

As it turns out, this "builder's tack" is enough to damage a tire beyond track usability. Just a heads up for everyone out there. 3/4" through the tread block is just barely long enough. Now to get a new tire...
