Ways to gain HP and TQ without Supercharge?

I'm surprised there is no sticky for this. I'm sure there are lots of us looking to gain HP and TQ without going all out for a SC. I'm hoping to get close to 450HP-500HP. I did a bit of research and found the following mods to be best so far. Any advice and recommendations?

Macht Schnell Stage 2 Intake Charge Kit w/ Intake Scoops

Macht Schnell S65 Performance Underdrive Pulleys

Akrapovic Evolution Titanium Exhaust System

To get around 450HP.

Which exhaust are you going to run?

Akra Evo, intake filter, underdrive pullies and tune. I had these before I went s/c and noticed a pretty good gain.

I'm going a full exhaust (Gintani sport with Gintani x-pipes), I already have a MS filter, will be getting underdrive pullies, and will also go with a tune after that. A little ways to go, but I think without a SC those are the only ways to add any sort of noticeable power. The intake kits you describe I think are generally viewed as excessive and overpriced for the little gains they offer. I think most people agree that a new filter will do the job and is reasonably priced.

I would advise coming down and first getting a baseline dyno, to better gauge your desired mods and progress. We've built a number of M3s with the same Macht Schnell/Akrapovic configuration:

Macht Schnell UDP/Stage 2 Intake & Akrapovic Dyno Findings

Tuning would be icing on the cake.

More info can in the above linked thread, feel free to give me a call if you should have any questions!

EAS Installed my MS Filter and MS Pulley (I also got it from them) and they also installed my Akra Evo :P
Got the tips positioned the way I liked it too.
Considering they're a 140 mile round trip drive for me, and as some of you know, i hate driving my car on the freeways/in traffic, the fact that I make the drive down there really says something

Pulleys, tune and catless X pipe make the power. The rear exhaust is very, very little bang for the buck though it does sound nice and may drop some weight. An intake is probably worth about the same. Eurotuner dynotested the AFE intake and rear exhaust and gained no power.

Go get an ECU tune. BMW worked out most of the kinks on the exhaust and intake.

+1 All 3 of those mod you mentioned Op is what I did. The tune will top it off...and I'm still excited at how well the car runs after all the mods. EAS has all the goodies and they are super helpful if you have questions.
