Sounds good if true, but based on other threads, I think you will still need some sort of Euro wire harness or sensor to make it work right, unless that information is completely bogus. You do know we are referring to US federalized vehicles which are different from rest of the world, right?
Here's his public profile, try PMing him. Also, creaminz has already responded to this thread, and he has successfully had gotten his seats working on his E90 thanks to Mike Benvo. Try PMing him as well for more information.

To MY understanding (note that I have not ever dealt with BMW performance seats, only Recaros and Sparcos) you shouldn't require anything special aside from what has already been included in the seat. Coding at a very basic level of understanding is simply re-enabling functionality that is available to the European market that has been disabled for the US Market.

Anyways, I'm completely out of this thread, won't respond further. Good luck.

Sorry you took offense, none meant. If you follow along on this and other threads there are many people that have jumped in with "hints" that this is no problem and so and so can take care of it that all end up in complete dead ends or misrepresent the fact that people don't want to disable the airbag, they want to make everything functional as it is when these seats are installed in ROW vehicles.

Also, small point in my defense is Mike Benvo is doing business as Mike Benvo- which is unusual, usually someone is associated with a business name- so part of my smart alek reply was based on that.

Thanks for the reply, I'm glad you did for the sake of others following along perhaps there is some hope we can have a real solution to this dilemma- rather than a track only modification.

I'll make the contact!

Thanks!
