Because MFKN3 and I got the wheels ex Holland we paid GST and import duty but they were cheaper ex Europe than USA. In any case BBS wheels are manufactured in Herbolzheim Germany and exported to USA. USA has only sales and marketing (apparently) so would not qualify as OEM. I'd hate to see anyone caught out on a technicality. MFKN3 researched this at great length to get the best pricing which ended up being Holland. Even with the duties its sad to say they are still significantly cheaper to import and pay the duties than buy here. The rims alone are $3590 RRP here (for 19")

Sorry you are correct, i should have mentioned the wheels i've bought are made in the USA which is why they fall under the agreement. Just wanted to let people know, as i know a few guys who have bought US made forged wheels and gotten stung with all the extras.

That's great info, thanks for sharing. I'm surprised about the GST though. Import tax is understandable. That's good news for many

Sorry to bump up a old thread! But those wheels are amazing!

And the price even more! Roughly converted, its $1600AU for a set prior to any postage/import taxes. That's ridiculously cheap! Temp tyres and that lot charge more for reps!

just list it under $1000 dollars iv done in 100 times with stuff worth up to $10000 and have never been done for it. thats the risk you have to take when you want stuff cheaper or just go to a local dealer and pay the full price thats why we take the risk to save

On today's exchange rate and after duties and GST (Don't expect any professional exporter to under declare customs value) you would be paying around $5800 landed which is really cheap. These were done to my specification though which cost extra, the wheels were sand blasted and re coated to remove all banding and the chrome trims were removed so they looked OE

I'd also try tire rack for a price on these too.

I just sold mine recently but they were excellent wheels and have the perfect offsets

can someone chime on this please. I just got my new BBS CH-R yesterday and it runs 19X9 front offset20 and 19X10.5 back offset 25. can I run 255/35 front and 285/35 at the back?

Until just recently I had on mine:

BBS CH-R 'Black edition'-9,0 x 19 ET20
BBS CH-R 'Black edition'-10,5 x 19 ET25

Front ideal is 255 x 35 x19
Rear ideal 295 x 30 x19

Best tyres are Michelin Pilot Super Sport (I've also had Conti 5ps and the PSS are better IMO

285 x 35 x 19 will not work, the profile is too high, the sidewall will be 7.5% taller and you will likely scrape... you need to go back to a 30 profile for the rear rims with the difference between stock and this rear is -1.3% which relates to a speed reading of 98.7 Km/H at 100. T

The photos and videos in this post were of my wheels which were the perfect set up for the car. There is a very small part of the rear guard liner which will hit on rough roads, its a lump at a joint which I had trimmed off.

I don't have the BBS anymore, but have the same tyres exactly on the new rims, here are a couple of photos, it shows the stance and the width or the rear tyres.

The BBS were a lot chunkier and absolutely great quality but when you see these actually on the car they are really good. Much more open which enhances the BBK more. Wait and see H
