Air filter cover question

Hey Guys - Question on this.

I recently purchased a Macht Schnell Air Filter from one of the guys here. My question is: Should I leave the air filter cover off or putting back? Would it do any bad if I leave it off. I'm assuming with it off, it will bring more air in it but I could be wrong.

Any insights?

Put it back on. It's a great flowing design from the factory. If you leave it off it'll suck a lot of hot air from the eng compartment defeating its purpose

The cover is also used to keep the Intake Charge Pipe locked in place.

Reinstall it.
