Visibility of the road may be better in the day time but the visibility of other cars on the road is a lot better at night because of the lights! Don't know about you but going 200mph, I'd prefer to have a better look at the other cars around me then at a straight piece of highway! Also there's obviously a lot less people on the road, I think it would be completly stupid to try someting like this in the day time!
