+1....I spent all my money replaces the gloss metal with matte (front grille, side indicators, wheels, etc.) - NO way I would pay to add more.
If I could find a cost effective way to kill the shine on the exhaust tips, I would do it. |

Wow lots of chrome haters around. I'm not a real fan of chrome either, but I couldn't find any aftermarket wheels that I loved and I wasn't a big fan of the two tone on the orignal OEM's.
The wheels actually came out pretty well - the pictures don't do them a lot of justice. They appear bigger than the original OEMs and the lip seems much more prominent. re - weight, they tell me they will be about the same or a little less than the originals (I didn't weigh them). I've had a lot of compliments from other random drivers, albeit probably not the hardcore BMW purists that visit these forms. Oh well, to each their own I suppose. Cheers. |

Chrome is okay in certain colors. I certainly don't 'hate' them. Problem is I associate them more with luxury cars than sport ones, for one. And second, chrome wheels only look nice clean IMO, and good luck keeping chrome wheels looking clean for even 10 miles on a freaking BMW . That's why I went with semi-gloss black (PC), even though I usually consider black wheels even less appealing than chrome. But again, it all depends on the color. They really look great on my SSII, PLUS the car REALLY needed a testosterone injection. Chrome wheels would have been an estrogen one on my car , but look pretty good on white and dark colors, especially black. The black wheels look good on white and light colors. A matter of personal preference. Take care.

Important thing is that you like them! They don't look half bad actually.
