For those w/front reflector delete mod

How much did you pay to have the front reflector area molded and painted to achieve the euro bumper look? My body shop estimated $500.

Euro bumper is $1,300 unpainted and $2,200 pre-painted.

$500 is a good price to fill holes and repaint.

+1 I paid a little more than that, it looks great and no evidence it didnt come that way from the factory

That's a pretty fair estimate, the entire bumper has to be sanded, the reflector area needs to be bondo'd and the bumper has to be repainted.

+1 I saw slammedM3's bumper and it looked fantastic but you can see the faint outline as well. Mind you, it could be because his car is a light colour. If your car is dark it may be better hidden.

Still worth it for $500.

you can definitely see a small outline in certain lighting. it usually develops about 6 months after the work is done. each bumper will be different. it all depends on how good of a job the shop does and how much curing time they allow before they repaint the bumper. some might never notice, but the majority will develop a small outline at some point in time.

I did this on my first bumper and after a few months you could just barely see the line, if you knew to look and knew where to look. I repainted the bumper one more time and it never came back.

I forgot to mention that the bumper is being replaced due to an accident. So the $500 is basically just for molding since the entire new bumper has to be painted anyways.

I'm not going to that now, but if I ever have to repaint the bumper for any reason (including if it develops too many rock chips), I'd take care of that. In the mean time, will live with the stock reflectors since the painted ones look like patches, and the only available clear ones ('DEPO' brand) are not nearly OEM quality. Good day.

$500 sounds good. We use a 3M backing and plastic glue to fill the holes. This is the best way to cover the holes. Here is a photo of the plastic glue before we smooth the bumper.
