Why do c63 drivers feel the need to...

i get this crap from 135 owners

its getting old and ive only had my M for a month.

This guy came up to me at the gas station yesterday, he was well into his 50ies (I'm 20), was a bit drunk, had a big fat omega watch and started telling me how he had a c63 amg and that we should race. He wanted to bet something. After about 10 minutes I told him that the c63 is more of an old mans car. He shook my hand and accepted his defeat, lol. This is not the first time

Why does everyone think m3 drivers have there chin up in the air. All we are is proud of our cars and feel special that we have them. At least I am. I love my car and yeah I feel it's better then everyone else's because I am paying for it. Now back to thread; the day I got my m3 had a c63 pounce on me as soon as he saw my car. We got to a light and I roll my window down and told him I can't really get on it yet till it breaks in he said i was gay and then floored his car cut me off break checked me and then gunned it again. Caught up with him at a delayed light on the passenger side his girl then gave me a thumbs up and lipped nice car....Point blank I love my car lol.

Seriously though, if you go to driving schools or attend board meetings, you find just folks who are also enthusiasts.

The thing that has always made me smile, though, is that all these brand-centric enthusiasts think that the other guys just don't get it. BMW vs Mercedes vs Audi. Ford vs Chevy, etc., etc.

The funniest (to me) were the Camaro vs Firebird guys. Same car with very slightly different end caps.

And they were always at each others' throats...

Fact of the matter is that horsepower wins races. The C63 AMG has more horses and will spank the M3 in any gear at any speed anytime.

This sort of thing happens no matter what you're driving....and even what they are driving.

Was at a stoplight last night(in a Porsche) and a pickup truck pulls up next to me. At green, he hammers it and stays on it. I can see him looking in his side view mirror at me. All he saw was me laughing as I slowly accelerated to the limit.

That is ONE of many factors.
Try, horsepower, torque, weight, gearing, driver ability, tires, etc....
If it were just HP my X6M should beat my GTR.

The best thing about this thread, as Bruce pointed out, is the morons that think this level of behavior only applies to C63 owners, as if owning an M3 automatically makes you the good guy that everyone's looking up to.
