Heard a clanking noise front right yesterday and found my sway bar link dangling. The top eye bolt snapped. I believe this is what I need but am awaiting confirmation from Ground Control. Anyone care to chime in? http://www.ground-control-store.com/.../II=856/CA=165" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">http://<a href="http://www.ground-co...856/CA=165</a>" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">http://<a href="http://<a href="http...CA=165</a></a> Also, if I remove the link until I get a repair part, is the car still safe to drive? Pictures attached for reference. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!!! |

yep, just remove the link until you get the new one, its not necessary for the car to be driven safely, you might get a tiny bit more bodyroll in the front but not really noticeable.

I'd be a little bit disturbed that this happened...replacing like for like probably won't solve the problem. With that said, on the street you'll be fine to unhook the entire link. Not sure I'd ever consider using those endlinks on a track though. Breaking a link mid-corner could be catastrophic.
