When will we see '09 prices?
Anybody know when we will see official pricing for '09 models for USA? Not interested in pointless speculation as to whether the prices wil go up 2% or 20%. Just would like to know when prices will be announced, if anybody knows. Thanks.

Mystic,
I just went to my dealer last week and got an allocation for the 09' builds, he said it would be a few weeks before the allocations and prices come in, as I have not spec' ed my M3 out yet. So hopefully early sept?? Hope this helps.

Maybe it's already been discussed, but another possible reason for BMW NA's delay in releasing US pricing just occurred to me. Could they be waiting until all of the major 3 series competitors release their prices first? That way they can (1) have a chance to evaluate their competitors prices before releasing their own, and/or (2) be the last to release increased prices, thereby minimizing the negative effect.
I know Audi just released the new '09 A4 pricing. What about the others? |

They are not unorganized. If they are, you should not buy their products. The pricing is a balancing act to make sure that they maximize their profit with less impact on the customer. Even as we speak, the value of $US is unstable compared to other currencies. Plus US pricing is very competitive and I believe is the cheapest worlwide. We can only speculate and guess until they release the final pricing. There were also some news article awhile back about decreasing the total number of vehicles that they will bring in. My guesstimate is that, definitely the price will increase plus they will try to package those individual options so that you are forced to get the package thereby maximizing their possible profit. But it will still be cheaper compared to other places in the world. (Maybe those oil rich nations are cheaper because of less tax)
