Being the brightest (LED, incandescent or HID) means nothing if the light cannot be directly properly.

What made me question their reliability is a thread from a few days ago from an unhappy customer who made it his mission in life to slam the lights. A few others chimed in that their AiB's just stopped working while in traffic. Need me some non-yellow angel eyes asap

kaykay let me know what you decide. I want to order a set as well asap. I am deciding between the AIB and LUX as well. I don't know if the LUX even works for our cars though since they don't work for the 2010's (I am trying to get someone to confirm this though).

We had our own share of issues last summer last year when some DriverPacks were not standing up to summer heat. As a solution, revised (Heavy Duty) DriverPacks were sent to all AiB users whether they were experiencing issues or not as an added precaution - even taking the extra step and covering shipping. Marc is good people and I wish him the best. We've seen a lot of other companies come and go on the forums, products are only as good as the companies backing them up.

I'll even sit down and make a lighting diagram using the beam pattern of the LED, and how it uses the reflector to concentrate as much light as possible into the outer rings. |

Unfortunately I have not heard from anyone yet as to whether or not they will work. If you would like to try a set that would be great. If for some reason they do not work correctly there would be a full refund on the product of course.

Boosted, are the GP Thunders simply a light-bulb replacement?
Would love to see some pics... Not sure what else goes into AiB's aside from a bulb... Just need some damn angel eyes already! Haha

^--- AiB's are two connections each instead of one like a simple GP Thunder bulb. Install is about 10 minutes total, assuming you are good at putting the bulb in correctly (but that's the same even if you do a GP Thunder).

Yes, they are.... I just went and picked up a pair of GP Thunders--went with the 7500k for hopefully more of a pure white light, less blue tint. I don't care about brighter, I just want to get rid of the yellow. A $14 solution to my problem. Gonna put those suckers in right now! Be back in 20 minutes...

What's the difference between a GP Thunder kit and an AiB kit?
Obviously $250 but why go with the AiB's instead of a simple $30 lightbulb? EAS, I need my AiB's PLEASE!!!!

The GP Thunders are a simple xenon bulb replacement for the oem DRLs. Most people will use a higher temp bulb like 7500-8500k to get a purer white light with slight blue tint, versus ugly yellow oem.
I personally don't "get" the whole angel eye mystique brightness thing. I mean, for brightness I turn on the damn headlights. But for daytime running lamps all you're looking for is a little accent around the grill. Better light distribution between the inner and outer ring is the only concession I would make towards getting the higher-end lights (Aib, LUX. etc), but not for the $$$! I JUST finished putting in my GP Thunder 7500ks. They look GREAT! Very white color, cost me literally $14 and took 10 minutes to install. Now they do dim down with the main headlights come on, and the color could be a little "whiter"--in hindsight I would go with the 8500k--but this was just the simple solution I needed.

Hey Tom, spoke with Brandon, he wasn't sure exactly when they were coming in. I'll shoot you both a PM on Tuesday, and hopefully come by Wednesday to get them installed.

Look at the amount of recalls and failures you see on the forums....its just chaos. You buy the car to drive and enjoy, with some mods like angel eyes, its a pity and you keep on having to change the stupid modules out. If you really want white angel eyes, the OSS Design is the only legit design that covers all the issues every thread you see about even angel eyes all around. |

BTW I also went 7500k and agree they could be bit more white when they dim but the 8500k are too blue and too ricey. 7500k for me was the best compromise.
