Denver - Potentially Moving - Where to Live?

So I could potentially be moved to Denver for a job offering and was starting to look at places to live. I have been to Denver a few times (usually passing though and heading to the slopes). Currently I live in more of an urban environment where I can walk to the grocery store and there are a lot of bars and local restaurants around. There are also a few parks that I can ride my bike to and what not.

So, if I am to move to Denver, what neighborhoods / areas would you recommend. I do not need to live in the same type of area as I currently do as I want an attached garage (currently don't have) and a place to work on the M. I don't want to live IN the city but surrounding areas and even further away would be fine. I am an outdoors person so parks and easy access to the mountains area always a plus.

Thanks for the help.

Based on what you're looking for...two places immediately come to mind.

The Highlands
Wash Park

Not sure how much you're willing to spend, but those areas are very nice and you will pay for it (especially wash park).

Good luck...

Thanks for the input. If I was too go more suburban, which suburbs would you recommend?

Not Wash park or highlands both in the middle of the city.

^ I concur. Boulder, Golden, Lafayette would be a good location if you are an outdoors person.

Garage List
Depending how far you are willing to drive and where your office location in Denver will be, I heard Monument is becoming a popular location due to the lower cost of living or Castle Rock. At Any rate, if you do relocate this way I look forward to having another ///M in he area!

The office looks to be in Littleton. Is the area down that way nice? I figured that would be more suburbs and such, but is one area nicer than the others down south?

Thanks for all your input.

If you're going to be in Littleton, then look south. The winter commute form the north side would suck. north =Lafayette, Boulder, Louisville.

Perhaps Golden, Evergreen, Morrison, Ken Caryl.....

Very nice areas. You'll just spend more to get all you want.
