Bmw specific o2 sensor tool?

does bmw use a specific tool for the o2 sensors. i am going to swap my factory exhaust with an akra evo and i want to be sure to have everything i need. if it does use a specific tool anyone have a part number?

22mm open end wrench. They arnt blocked to get a wrench on. Make sure you remove all underbody covers and unplug them prior to removal.

*my having lift access 24/7 makes it a tad easier than driveway jackstand work. Still doable in the driveway/garage with 22mm wrench

Wrench worked fine for me and mine are boxed? I unplugged the sensors then one the x-pipe was on the ground unscrewed them and moved them over to the Akra. They can be a b-tch to remove if they've been on for a long time.

Here is a good pic - wrench works perfectly well. Same method EAS (and others use) on their particularly helpful Arka install video.

I was able to get the standard O2 socket onto both front O2 sensors..didn't do the rears which have even more room. Or you can use just a normal wrench. I did both on mine while the car was on jackstands, didn't remove exhaust.

as some else stated, if you are swapping that section, just unplug the sensors and remove them when you are out from under the car...obviously it would be easier.

One other thing to note is that if you choose to take them off while under the car, make sure to still unplug them. You can damage them by twisting too much (a lot of threads on the sensor before it releases).

thanks guys for the replies, i will be doing this on ramps and stands. after i searched for the install video it all makes perfect sense. i guess that video would have been the most obvious to look for in the first place. i will be swapping the sensors after i drop that section. i am fairly confident that this shouldn't be too difficult.
