Anyone in the area with Dinan (or similar db) exhaust on E60 M5?

Posted on M5board as well but the activity level on their regional board is minimal.

Had an E90 M3 and recently acquired a E60 M5. I see a few random M5 and M6 owners on these M3 boards from time to time so I thought I'd ask.

Open to similar exhaust setups....perhaps RPI GTS??

yes, i know a guy.

he is on M5Board and lives in MD.

he s/n is SSS M5

he has DINAN everything, including the engine swap to a V10 stroker

Yes, I live in McLean and fill up at the Shell at that intersection so that was likely me seeing as how often I have to fill up!

I used to have an e60 m5 with an RPI exhaust and switched to the dinan because the rpi had too much drone.

This is my main concern.

People seem to say the RPI can be loud but that they couldn't hear any difference with the Dinan from inside the car. Apparently there is a "quieter" RPI GTS option now

Could you hear the Dinan in the car with the windows rolled up? It's a shame to have such a nice exhaust note that only others can hear.

i just got a magnaflow that I will be installing next week ... by no means close to what you are looking for ... but quieter for me!

I think I know who this is. It might be Imraan who used to have a sweet e46 M3 convert.

Yeah, I think my last post got cut off as I was saying that I'd like to get out to C&C in Great Falls but my schedule doesn't permit me to wake up quite that early. I'll make it to something soon, probably MPact...I'll also be heading up to the Baltimore Grand Prix. Not sure if you guys planning anything for that....

Yep. Simply wanted a burrito but the tweens filled the line out the door so I just left. Didn't want one that bad.

Was the photo shoot with a AW E92 that possibly lowered on black wheels? Saw him stalking around the mall parking garages. I always see at least 3-4 Ms at a time parked in the garage by Coastal Flats getting a car wash. I find it humorous.

Yeah there were a lot of teens out that night. Tysons was a zoo, as usual on a Friday evening.

No, I was waiting on a red 335i who is a guy on the forums who was going to shoot my M5. We left and headed out elsewhere for pics.

Shoot me a PM anytime you are in the McLean/Tysons. I am far from a photographer but have a decent Nikon and could snap some pics of the two Ms. (my car is dirty but I personally kind of like dirty white cars)

Well quieter than any other aftermarket unit .... it's only slightly louder than stock ... but sounds nice..... too bad the car is in the shop

Oh, okay. Let me know when you get it back....I'd be interested in hearing it. Briefly met up with mdyaman today in Tysons and his super nice IB E60 M5 so maybe next time a few other M5s can meet.
