Went to Prestige BMW and Got This Loaner

So I dropped my car today at Prestige BMW for some service to my M3. I came in a bit later, after 9am, and was told by my SA (who I have a good relationship with) that they had "BMW appreciation Day".

Basically they ran out of BMW loaners and had Hertz in the building to loan out cars. He said most likely I will be driving a car like a Mazda and that after the loan "I will really appreciate" my BMW more once I get it back. I laughed my ass off.

So after dealing with my SA, I go over to the Hertz guy who then tries to upsell me Hertz's car insurance programs. After I said no then he wanted to show me the amount of money that Prestige was picking up for the Heartz rental. Then he showed me the car that was my loaner.

So I came into Prestige with an M3 and drove out with this loaner:

A Chevy Aveo LT

Was dirty as hell on the outside and didn't even have a full tank in it.

I was laughing my ass off some more as I drove off the dealership - thinking, was Prestige BMW really serious that they want their drivers to drive off the dealership with a car like this? Still laughing.

i bet you'll appreciate the M even more after driving that !
a few years back as i was driving my dad's car, it broke down... took it to VW (was a Passat V6 TDI), and went to pick up a loaner... they wanted to give us a Citreon C1... for your guys unfamiliar with French cars, that's like a Smart car with a back seat, no sh**...
when i asked the lady "do you have anything smaller?", all she said was "let me see what i can do"

either way, if i was a BMW dealer i'd be uncomfortable to let my customers drive away in that...

I can't believe they let you get an Aveo. That isn't even a nice small car, it's by far and away the worst.

When my dealer (Thompson BMW) runs out of BMW's, they just loan out Camry's.

I wouldn't mind that loaner. As long as it has 4 wheels and it is free, it all good! I don't need to be in a BMW all the time...

BMW of Freehold gave me a new '11 5er. Pretty nice but it drives like a boat and it feels sluggish compared to the M. However, I love the new iDrive.
