Acm Exhaust

Hello everybody i am reaching out to the People who have or had an ACM Exhaust.

I am looking for an X-pipe that will enhance the power/sound of ACM exhaust but without making me look like an idiot. I drive my car everyday and it's Fire Orange. So i want a setup that is in between the ACM TEST PIPE AND MOD as far as sound because i literally think the ACM TEST PIPE WITH ACM MOD is way way way way too loud and raspy.

I came from a MPE with test pipes; that's the loud i like but i didn't like the raspy sound.

Need help and would love people's input on this. i tried to look at videos and i didn't really find a good one. please if anybody has a ACM setup please post up.

ugh, another exhaust question. Anyways, I will be nice:

To enhance power, you will need either HFC or to be catless. This will make the ACM mod too loud (and probably raspy) as you pointed out and didn't want. One suggestion is to add resonators..

The other way forward is to ditch the ACM mod and get a different exhaust (maybe Borla) and pair it with a catless or HFC xpipe (or oem xpipe with test pipes). You don't get much power out of any setup if you leave the stock cats.

Per the numerous posts and reviews on here discussing this, ACM mod is best left alone. If you want to start messing with the cats then you will want a different rear section otherwise it will be loud and raspy like you noted.

As I've said a million times, if you planned on getting an x-pipe, then the OEM mod is not the way to go. Even if you go super conservative x-pipe, it'll still be raspy.

I saw in the other thread you were making a point that ACM is half the price of used Eisenmann. Well this is why I went E.Race because I wanted to go catless.

Either live with what you got, or sell ACM muffler and get something + xpipe.

2 cents from a guy that went ACM+TP.

Let's stop calling it the "ACM" and start calling it a muffler delete as that's what it is and gives a clearer picture of sound expectations.

I have dinan exhaust paired with test pipes. It's got a nice deep tone when I get on it but not too annoying for getting round town. Not really raspy either.

Like everyone said, it's not the xpipe, it's the muffler. You can run test pipes, xpipes, whatever. It'll always be raspy if you have ACM mod. Simple.

Change your muffler if that's the route you want to go.

What do you think about the new AA rear with MS test pipes on stock x-pipe?

Drone/Sound level, i know your not a exhaust expert but i see you post around so if you hear a setup where it's catless and livable than I'm open for suggestions.

I don't want to make mistake of getting something way to loud! The ACM is a tab quite for me and the EIsenmann Black too in a way.

The best exhaust setup i had to date was my MPE with MS test Pipes with stock x-pipe.

The sound and power was great and i kinda of regret on selling.

The combos I usually recommend with xpipe/test pipes are:
Eisenmann Race
Megan
Corsa

They all sound great IMHO. They are loud (which is what you are looking for), but in a good way and not obnoxious. And not insanely raspy either.

Add the Meisterschaft GT2 With AA HFC's X-pipe to the insanely loud category, actually beyond loud - deafening.
