Problems linking Bluetooth in Sept Build

So I picked up my 2011.5 E90 this evening. Silverstone/silver novillo with I-drive. Pics will follow this weekend. Anyhow, I have a new Blackberry Bold from Verizon. The phone links up and the contacts transfer. When I try to call out, the phone dials and hangs up. I can receive calls though. Also can't seem to make the office work. Not getting text or email. I know this phone is supported. My wife's Blackberry Curve works beautifully. Any ideas?

Also is the Ipod cable different for Sept builds than earlier, I cant seem to get album art. My car did not have a cable so the SA took one from a May build car.

Lastly, shouldn't there be a hazard triangle and a first aid kit? Missing those too.

thanks for the help and sorry for the long winded post.

How about letting me if your car has the triangle and first aid kit?

If you have the new combox, which you do, you don't need the old Y-adapter for the ipod hookup. Just use a regular iPod cable. I bet that will fix the album art issue.

And no triangle and first aid kit for US spec cars.

Thanks for letting me know. Now if I can figure out the phone, it'll be perfect.

There is an update schedule for May 2011 that will allow the Combox phone-compatibility software to be upgraded by the customer by using USB sticks. That may solve your problem with the Bold - the CDMA Bold and Curve are not shown as BT-approved by BMW but the GSM versions are.

It seems to me that too many SA simply do not read BMW bulletins: the reason of your Sept-build M3 not including the OEM iPod cable is that it is not required anymore. Use the Apple USB cable.

If you do Euro Delivery, you get to take the hazard triangle and a first aid kit with you

But my question is why does the Curve work but I can't make outgoing calls with the Bold. I can receive calls and view my contacts with the Bold it just wont dial out

My sept 2011.5 build does not support the office component with my 8900 BB. Calls in and out work fine though.

I called BMW customer relations and they said only the Blackberry Tour and Storm are currently supported for full functionality. Others coming with new updates. She did mention something seen in another thread where some phones not supported were being paired and damaging the TCU, she said BMW was not warranting those problems, but no damage to TCU has occurred with Blackberrys even if not fully supported. Guess we have to wait for BMW software to catch up.

Just a correction - you can get triangle and first aid kit in "US-spec" car, or "USA BMWs", with European delivery.
