How to always display nav map on startup?

I like to see the nav map everytime I start the car. Sometimes the map shows up on start, but sometimes just the word navigation is highlighted and I need to manually go to the map. Is there any way to insure that the map always displays on the screen at startup? Could not find anything in the manual. I have a 2011 e93.
