Race Seats in 2011 M3 Sedan
anybody done it? stock seats suck at the limit. any computer implications (seat belt alarm, etc.). this is a dual purpose (track/street) car. thanks in advance for any constructive feedback.

would be great if BMW offered a nice race seat. porsche does.
apecush, any idea how to find out about the non-us available option? i'm sure they've dealt with the coding issues. thanks, |

Well I know about it and I didn't have to start a thread to find out. Not sure what it is about people who can't do any leg work. Just want it handed to them. Not trying to be mean but seriously. Car has been around since 2008 and you think you're doing something new?? A quick trip to the Recaro site would have told you that they make a BMW specific seat. A quick trip to the gallery here and you would see endless pics of car's interiors which would have shown you that other people have already done it. Another search of the site and you would see that the number one racing seats used in the M are Recaros of another type.

Once you get the seats I can perform remote coding which will remove the errors and re-enable the disabled airbags from the swap

No idea what you just said except that you want others to do the work for you. Mike just posted above that he could code for you since you would have had to search for that as well but obviously wouldn't.

at first i thought the guy who flips out and kicks the other guy was the equivalence of the tech. but thennn i realized the tech is the guy who slaps with the book. does just enough to push people to frustration haha... in all honesty OP, you will probably grow used to seeing the tech chime in some shape or form on most threads and in most cases you'll be in agreement with him or at least get a nice grin on your face from reading something hes saying that others are thinking lol. this topic has definitely been displayed though so you can see where tech is referring to the search option having things like this available in the first few search results: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...ghlight=recaro good luck on your modding! throw some pics up for us as you begin to have your mods installed!

Absolutely love the clip you posted... LOL. Kung fu in school... not to mention beating up the wrong guy!! And yes, Tech is the type of guy that spends hours searching before he'd post a thread. He'll keep it real. His input is very valuable and also realistic, and we're fortunate to have him here!
