Getting cabin fever, expecially with 2" snow in CT today
Cool. Please to take photos of the install of the Rallye3 and how it mounts. I am thinking I might do that route as well.

Thanks much!

I just got off the phone with the guys at Schroth. Apparently all of the testing and approvals are finalized. They just need to locate and grind down 1000 unicorn horns to make the re-inforcing material for this product to go to production. Fingers crossed!

Hmm wow I totally forgot about this thread.

I installed a Schroth White Tiger harness for my last track session (last year). Worked like a charm...held me down pretty well. Not entirely sure of the safety aspect though, but it did what it I wanted it to do.

Installed the harnesses to stock seat belt locations except for the left side...I couldn't figure out how to take off the plastic so it's bolted on to one of the bolts holding down the seat. I only use it for the track right now until I can get the time to disassemble the chair.

Front seat installed.

Back seat

Sorry I don't have that many pictures...didn't take the time to document the install.

Haha not really single.

Yep still running Taebaek...I feel like I've been improving. Last track day gave a driver in a Porsche GT3 a fit until my tires got too greasy...

I bought a GoPro so I can record some runs and get some critiques.

A word of caution from buying my Rallye 3 from Scroth concerning safety was that they were very specific about connecting the 3 tail strap to the C-pillar shoulder hard point rather than at the seat bottom. This was for the same reason for not installing a Rallye 4 or Profi ASM...the seat has not yet been cleared for this type of angled installation. This is the hold-up for the QuikFit too. This might change soon when they have results in hand - which are a long time coming...

Ahh good to know. I still use the regular seat belt along with the harness...I just really needed something to hold me down. I'd use velcro if it worked.

So it's the seat that's not cleared? Does that mean an aftermarket seat would work? (Trying to find an excuse to upgrade...)

If that's your goal (it's mine too, as I don't plan driving fast/dangerous enough to need a cage, 6-point harness, etc), then try sliding the seat backwards & lower the back rest, then lock seat belt in while holding tension on it, and (while maintaining the belt tension) slide the seat forward and raise the back rest.

I used to look for harness too (one that didn't require me to get a roll cage, harness bar, 6-point harness and a Recaro seat, etc) until somebody told me to try this, and have stopped looking.

Works great in terms of holding you nice & tight in the seat because the seat belt is tightened/tensioned in a locked position. No more sliding around at tight/fast corners. Can feel car movements earlier too (although probably not as early as you do in Recaro/bucket seats).

The drawback is that it's not easy to get the right amount of tension when you've slid the seat (& raised the back rest) back into your normal driving position. Sometimes it winds up so tight that you can't breathe - which obviously requires re-doing. At other times, it's a bit too loose and the belt becomes unlocked, and hence loose again, while you're on the track. With a harness, once you adjust it to your size, obviously none of that trial and error each and everytime you get in.
