Rear Subframe Structural Foam
Has anyone considered injecting the rear subframe with BMW Structural Foam for some added stiffness? The same stuff they use for E46 M3 subframe reinforcement and repair.
Just toying with the idea since I was going to get the rear subframe out to install solid bushes, and wanted to see if it made sense or if I was crazy. What do you all think? |

i haven't heard of an e9x m3 subframe ripping out. there were a few people with sheared diff bolts, but overall it isn't a common issue. i'm thinking the foam would be a waste.

There is no issue with the E9x chassis sub-frame mounting points, it's already incredibly rigid and stiff there. There would be no reason to do this.
