Well played sir, in a car that revs this high it doesn't take long to get up and down from speed.... All the Francis' out there need to lighten up. It's like being on a crotch rocket, I can go from 60 to 120 back down to 60 b4 most cars even register a throttle response (an exaggeration of the m3 but nonetheless applicable), it's not like we're doing this in a minivan, and I'll take the guy with both hands on the wheel going 130 in an M over the 20 year old texting going the speed limit any day... And by the way it's no contest at the track, the street is the only arena where the MB could even hope to
be superior.... Nice kill

+1. I am really curious if any of these posters go "over the speed limit" as it appears from their posts that they abide by the speed limit 100% of the time. OP, good info and story for the m3 vs. the c63.

Yep...I like the Garden State Pkwy better too. There are just too many cops on the turnpike. You still need a good radar detector, and know when, and when not to lay on the gas. I remember when I had my E46, I was all excited and decided to open it up on the north bound side...I took the turn around the PNC at about 145mph...what a rush. I remember blasting Zep's Immigrant Song on the Harmon Kardon ....that is great diving music. In retrospect, I was quite dumb. I think if you get caught doing those kinds of speeds, you don;t just get a ticket...they probably haul you to jail, then to a shrink to see if you have any screws loose..lol.

Y'all need to move to Germany....... lol. There are stretches of autobahn here (A81) where you can open open at 160-170 mph for 10-15-20 minutes at a time.( Just long enough to find the next gas station...LOL)
Funny thing happened the other day. I was just cruising at 120 mph... minding my own business and VROOOOOOOOM... this flash of floresent metalic green passes me like I am standing still. I think "HELLZ NO!!!!" so i gun it and off she goes.... when I finally did catch up; and to be honest..... I caught up ONLY because traffic slowed him down. Couldn't f'in believe it.... a damn Ford Focus SVT. Who would have thought???? Thing was crazy fast. Sure I would have reeled him in .... eventually, but that thing had to be moving at at least 165mph.
