m5 is a boat compared to the m3. The m3 is already too big anyway.

the m5 is bowing out soon. Wait for the new one to come out then compare. If you absolutely need such a car now and if it has to be a BMW, the m3 is the way to go.

M5 is bigger, bit more luxury, faster straight line, not as nimble, bit classier and more status, not as stunning aesthetically but still easy on the eyes.

Depends.

The M5 has the seriously understated, executive I'll-fuck-your-day-up look down pat. I've always admired it for that, and for the driving dynamics.

It did feel extremely heavy at the 2 Day M School though...

If I was late 20's+ I would more strongly consider the M5. I like the M3 for its mod community too.

I have driven both. M3 with 6 speed all the way. The M5 is massively powerful, but feels like a heavy boat limosine of a car at 4000 lbs. The M3 is 400 lbs lighter. It is not as fast in a straight line and is not as brutish in acceleration, but it is far more balanced when it comes to nimbleness, agility and control.

I gotta give you props though, you're a pretty good fisherman here! But I've baited quite a few people on other boards myself

...and I do like the ISF. Between the ISF, M3 and C63, the ISF was actually my first choice. But my wife and I had a problem with rear leg room, so we went with the M. Other than that, the ISF is a beast.

It's one thing to fish, but you're just showing us you really don't know what you're talking about. You have met others who have upgraded their "clutches and fylwheeks"? LOL. That will do nothing to resolve the mismatched gearing of the 6MT and V10. Thanks for the laugh IS, you have failed once again...

Does this mean i'm out of the trust tree?
Remember saying this? Just substitute the ISF with M5!
