Stock belt with Pole Position seat issue

I would like to know the answer to this last question as well. Looking at the Pole Positions myself and from what I've been reading it's pretty important for the belt to go through the right lap hole.

I went back to the stock seat. Picture shows shoulder pads, I don't use them any more. I haven't tried running it through the hole, the receptacle is too high.

I loved Recaro and this is my preferred seat, but got tired of my wife whining about it..

I tend to think that the stock seat with the harness is almost equivalent to the Recaro PP with the stock belt, from the stand point of keeping you in place.

Weight savings are great with race seats.

Maybe one day, I'll get a set of full carbon Status seats.. That would be my dream setup

Shame you went back to stock driver seat, the PP setup looked great and im sure it performed great. Need to tell the wife to get over it! j/k

With the harness + stock seat you still wouldn't get that lower leg stability in hard cornering which would be main main issue

Do you just leave the harness like that when you drive on the street? I think I'm going to go that route until I can do the full roll bars/seats/5-6pt harness all at once. But I'd like to keep the quick fit harness hooked up in the car when I'm not at the track.

Nuh, I take it out. Stock belt is enough for "aggressive" street driving IMO. I really love how you can put the harness in or take it out in less than a minute!

You can certainly keep it all the time. In fact, the last two weeks I am driving with it, but it doesn't offer much of a benefit, in my opinion again.

OK, I'll give you that. There is no substitute to proper seat and proper harness on the track, but this is a nice compromise.

Oh I didn't mean wearing it on the street. I thought they were bolted in in a few places and wondered if you leave it like that.

Do you wear a Hans with that on the track? What's keeping you from sliding under the belts in a crash?

There will be two buckles that stay in the car. They are small and cause no inconvinience. I leave them in the car, no real reason to take them out every time.

No Hans. I tighten waist belt first, it must sit low and I keep it tight, then I tighten shoulder straps. The harness uses stock belt pretentioner I believe too.

I use at my own risk and so is everyone else who has this.

Belts were certified for Mini.
