New Melbourne Red picture

This was taken in the UK. First pic I've seen of Melbourne Red with 19" wheels.

Exclamation Official Melbourne Red M3 Coupe Thread

Here's the new CSL people...

EDIT: I'm not sure what happened, pics seemed to have M3post logos on them and have the Carfreaks logos taken off. I thought it was only fair to give the due credit with the Carfreaks logo

Well, the people in the showroom were only too happy for me to take pictures, so no sneakiness.

D'oh, I forgot to upload one of the better ones.

The guy I spoke to said it should have been under wraps yesterday, glad they didn't.

Melbourne Red is schizophrenic! If it really looked like this image here, I would go for it bigtime. The reality is a metallic maroon-ish color that shows up most of the time, not a beautiful non-metallic bright red as seen here.

Not yet. I have only seen it in photos so far. It's hard to figure out, but I know it's on the dark side compared to what I like. I'm hoping to be able to order one in Crimson Red (which is still a tad dark) or Bright Red (current Z4 color) for an additional charge. I might have to wait a year or two for this to happen though, knowing BMW.

I havent seen it either, but I have been speaking to the people who have seen it. They said it is not like the dull color we saw from the pics from spain, but its very bright and shiny. Even i didnt like it in the pictures, but after I heard that it is a very bright color, I decided to get it.

well i saw it in reality on a sunny day in munich at the m-gmbh and i must say it looked perfect!!....a really bright race red. you do not recognize that it is metallic... on a cloudy day or in a darker surrounding it changes but this makes it interesting though...
i initially planned to get space grey as i really loved the concept in geneva with chrome shadow and thought it will be close but in reality it looks pretty boring.

to me the colours to go are aw or mr.....a green/orange/skyblue would have been nice of course...

as my current z4m is aw i want a different colour now..

my melbourne red 19" with cloth seats will be delivered end of nov.
pics as soon as it is there
