am i crazy or does this car get better as we drive it?

have put about 10k on my 5 month old car and every road trip and joy ride i take, it just seems to be getting more responsive and faster. all in my head or is this a strengthening of the car on many fronts as i;ve driven it, mind you ive not babying his thing at all, red line in every gear but 7, not sure i have the distance safely to test that boundary, was at 165 red line in 6th and car just wants to go faster. best foor door sleeper (-ctsv, hate caddys) i can think of, no one expects the 4 door beemer, love it.at this rate will have a 200+ mph supercar in a year. i know engines once broken in feel faster but this is starting to get ridiculous... like a new car... any thoughts???

I was just thinking the same few days ago. I too had my car for 4 months with almost 9000 miles on it and as I was driving it these last few days I am feeling the same thing. In my case this M3 is by far the most powerful sportiest car I have driven so I just thought may be it's just me getting used to the car and driving it better but reading your post, I feel better.

I was just about to post the same thing...just passed 10K miles after 5 months and the car seems to be more reactive.

The only thing that was changed lately is the tire pressures. Brought the front and back psi according to the spec on the door jam vs the dealer 32psi all across.
