Clutch Question...and yes, I searched!

All,

I've had my 2011 for about a month now, and I've noticed something that I can't seem to figure out and thought you all could help. Whenever I'm at a stop light, in neutral, the car just idles fine. However, when I depress the clutch and go into first before the light turns green, the engine rev's a little, but I never touched the gas. Does this have something to do with that hill descent preventer or is the car "getting ready to accelerate"? It doesn't seem like anything is wrong as the car is still silky smooth, but would like to know what's going on. Thanks everyone.
