Funny, I had the same experience with my 76 year old Mom a week ago. She said she felt like a movie star (which may admittedly mean that she doesn't get out much )

Cheers

Yup, we are trouble together. My mom and 83 year old dad knew I was looking at used M3's. She called me one morning and told me to come over and pick them up because they wanted me to go to a BMW dealership to check out how much a new M3 would cost. I said why bother, but she insisted, so off we went.I even told the salesman I wasn't going to buy one. My mom sat down and said "Are there any new red ones in the country?" There was one on the boat over. I was torn between the manual transmission and the DCT. I love driving with a manual. She convinced me the DCT will be better for resale. I started to negotiate price (I was hooked at this point) and as I was playing the game trying to get the SA to come down more, my parents said "Mark it sold, we are going to pitch in the extra 5K!" Swear to God, that is how it happened!!! Before I knew it, I had 5 weeks of sleepless nights ahead of me! Yup, she's trouble...in a good way!

Funny you should write this. I sat for a while and really considered not posting this story as it was kind of "Fluff." I'm really afraid of getting flamed, and I didn't know how all you die hard BMW fans would take to this story. Thanks for being so nice!!

Actually, my brother has a new Ferrari and Lamborghini for starters. His 911 is his "Rain car." It makes me sick....in a good way. My poor mom has no choice but to sit down and buckle in!

I never managed to get my wife into my e85 or e89 so once I changed back to the e92 she got into it for one trip to Niagara Falls ... now she complains it's too noisy however she does love the seats

Go figure ... I don't dare change to a Porsche ... that be the end for me

My gf doesn't care about the car lol

And doesn't complain if I push it, but she does easily get car sick

She hates the smell of the Akra... my mom also hates the smell, and they both think it's too loud...

You will marry someone who will appreciate your love for your car...it's part of who you are!

In that case, you just have to teach them! They don't need to know about cars, but they need to WANT to learn about them for you.

Yes this hasn't really been an issue for me lately :P
