Seems like if one is on at the same time as the seatbelt warning, it will alternate between the two sounds.

Did you know the seat belt alarm turns off after about 90 seconds of constant ringing? Don't get me wrong...there's no good reason why anyone shouldn't wear their seat belt, but I thought it was constant, but it actually goes silent after a while.

I found this out the other day because I was bringing home a punching/speed bag kit with these big metal bars. I had the rear seats folded down, but I still kind of had to lean over and hold the bar to make sure it didn't scratch anything. Anyway, it was pouring while I was loading up the thing, and never buckled my seatbelt. It was a 2 minute ride and I was sitting really ackward, so I decided to ignore it, and it did go away.

I think its a simulated sound, so it could probably be cut off somehow by snipping some wires?

Now that's some good advice.

I don't remember it making any noise when I test drove the car.

IIRC, I have moved the car a short distance before, triggering the belt alarm, and wanted to leave the car running (stopped), but had to turn it off and restart to get the alarm to stop. I couldn't bear to hear it for 90 seconds straight!
