M3 Test Drive
M3 is a great car no doubt about it, but I have never been one to buy something with out trying it out first. Any Canadian drivers out there having trouble getting test drives? I'm in Calgary and one of the dealerships here says impossible to test drive any M cars.

That does sound silly if you are dropping $80k and they wont let you test drive the car. I am sure as more roll in and more towards fall when they will have a few sitting on the lots they will let you (us) test drive. I also drive a 325i and was thinking of the jump to m3 (sedan)...I just want to make sure the car is not too harsh for daily driving as I plan to use it all year around. As for now the ones that are coming in I hear are all sold but I did see a AW sedan in the show room of Calgary BMW (manual)...I am sure if you said I won't buy until you let me test drive it I am sure they will arrange something if you talk to the right person.

Try finding another dealer. Heck, If I can go to my local Porsche delaer and drive a $120,000.00 car then you should be able to drive a cheesy 70k car. Seriously, a serious buyer should be give all the courtesy and respect possible.

Yep, that AW sedan is the exact car I was looking at, hopefully your right about more stock coming in, the salesman I talked to said no M cars are test driven, but he was fairly junior, I new more about the car than him. Makes me wonder where they find these guys, they have guys representing the brand that don't know shit. If your going to have sales people ho don't know the brand at least make sure they are female with some "assets".... hahaha So far I'm not impressed at all with the dealerships in Calgary, Edmonton BMW is light years ahead.

Lame. I got the same treatment from a Lexus dealer when I went to look at an IS-F. When I went to my BMW dealer the salesman offered me a test drive of the M3 before I even asked.

I remember when I was 20 I went to an Acura dealership the salesmen wouldn't even get out of their chairs.
Ended up buying a 530 from across the street. |

I would contact someone on this board that is willing to let you drive their car. I have test driven two cars via members on this forum.
