Kidney Grills falling out on track
Anyone having a problem keeping your kidney grills planted while on track? I tried taping them under the hood but that failed. I eventually had to wire tie them to the front bumper. One popped out and did a dance on my clear bra...

Absolutely no problems. Only thing I've seen is the side gill coming loose on an e46 (fell off but was found on track) and 1 e92, was dangling. Sounds like a figment issue. Good luck.

That's weird. The kidney grills are held in place by multiple plastic tabs. Are you sure they were properly installed in the first place?

I think the PO had them painted Jerez...perhaps they broke some clips. I'll have to take it all apart and investigate better.

+1. I replaced my kidneys with chrome black and it's very easy to break the clip holes (for lack of a better term) on the bumper (I broke a couple by accident). Break too many holes and the kidneys won't stay in place. Hopefully, the kidneys are just missing some tabs, which would mean replacing the kidneys. If not, you're probably looking at a new front bumper. Good luck!

Something has got to be wrong. They don't come out easily.

It's the trim rings that are the problem. A couple of tabs were broken and the rings are painted Jerez, and clear bra'd so I don't want to mess with it. I just ran some packing tape over the tops and that should hold them for a long time.

Like everyone else has said. There are so many damn difficult clips on those things that someting must be wrong.
