E90 320d SE - wipers not working
Hi
I have an E90 320d SE saloon/sedan. A couple of weeks ago when driving the wipers stopped working mid cycle, and after some fiddling with the controls they started working again. Yesterday when I was driving they stopped working altogether and now might work 1 in 30 (or less) times of trying. I went today to try and see if the fuse was damaged or not seated properly but noticed that what appeared to me to be the correct fuse (48) from this diagram is not installed. Can anyone advise me which ones I should try? Or am I barking up the wrong tree and looking at replacement motors? Thanks! |

If no one has touched your car, and it is still intermittently working, it doesn't seem logical that your problem is the result of a missing fuse.

I don't believe that the problem lies with a missing fuse either - after all it has to be there for the wipers to work intermittently.
I wanted to rule out the possibility that the fuse is damaged or not seated properly before looking at the motors, or any other control circuits etc. |

It may be the wiper relay.
I had that problem a while back and a couple of the fine people on this site suggested I replace it. The part was cheap ($13.00 or so as I recall) and took only a few minutes to replace.
