Wow, didnt realize you guys would be so defensive. I thought it was cheesy. It cluttered up the rear. Ive always been a fan of debadging and this guy put as much on as possible. Forgive me for starting a thread that offended all of you.

It's not "correct" to JDM spec, because there is no "Infiniti" in Japan. He should at least do it properly, and remove the Infiniti logo and put a Nissan badge on there.

either way, rebadging is rice no matter what. If people with the higher end versions of models debadged it'd be different, but it's always they guy that's the lower or lowest variant of a model that strips it "so it will be clean" Trust me, if that person had an ///M, they'd be leaving the damned badges on there.

Renaming the infiniti G35 as a Nissan Skyline is fine in my book. Especially since the infiniti brand only exists because Nissan didnt think they could get away with selling there higher echelon cars as Nissans. Same as Acura and Lexus...

Personally, I think he is just removing the product marketing BS that taints the US market.

Disagree. I don't think it's rice when it is, in a sense, essentially rebadging the same car with a different (but equally appropriate) name. Sure, he needs to switch the make to Nissan, but that doesn't make it rice.

Rice is putting Porsche-style turbo badges or stick-on portholes.
