Akrapovic slip-on with AA HFC X-Pipe

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone has tried this setup? I currently have the AA x-pipe with HFC and Dinan mufflers, but am thinking about switching it up. I started with just the AA mufflers, added the catless x-pipe, added HFC to the x-pipe, switched to the Dinan mufflers, and now am thinking about finally giving in and trying the Akra

Please explain why have you switched from aa mufflers to Dinan ?
I have aa xpipe hfc with magnaflow mufflers. But am considering akra now as well. I get too much drone. Is that your experience aswell? I read that aa full exhaust is low in drone but bery aggressive in sound.

I switched from the AA mufflers to the Dinan after adding the x-pipe because the tone was extremely bassy down low and droned at cruising RPMs. I really loved the sound of the full AA when I stepped on it, but decided that I should try something a bit more tame. The AA HFC x-pipe sounds amazing with the Dinan rear, I would recommend it to anyone and have only received compliments on it.

I just feel like trying something new and with the addition of the ESS blower I will have to remove some of my other Dinan parts, so the time is right

Has te Tone of your exhaust changed with the blower? I have heard akro with a blower and its near stock levels until stepped on it. No drone. Really down to earth setup. Very equivalent to acm mod for fraction of price

I actually don't have the kit on the car yet. It should be here in the next couple of weeks. I'm thinking the Akra with the blower will still be pretty loud because of the AA x-pipe vs full Akra.

I switched to the Dinan so that it would be more tame until stepped on and I think it really hit the mark.

Looks like we'll be finding out what the combo of AA HFC X-pipe, Akra slip-on, and ESS VT2-625 sounds like shortly

Can compare few sound clips. That should be interesting. Can't wait.
Sc aa xpipe and acm mod vs sc aa xpipe akra slip on.

I got a great deal on it. Either way, I would not consider the OEM exhaust mod, I can't stand the way the OEM muffler looks. I personally wouldn't want to cut the exhaust system open and remove a bunch of packing when I could buy an exhaust that was designed to function and sound in a certain way. Just my opinon though... I know tons of people that have had it done and love it.

Exhaust should be here end of next week, so I'll probably just go ahead and install that. The SC will be here at the end of the month, so that will probably go in next year when I return from my Xmas vacation.

Sc aa xpipe and acm mod vs sc aa xpipe akra slip on.
I have the ACM mod with aa race xpipe and its loud. Akra is much quieter and a totally different sound. I'm in the market for an akra to pair with my aa xpipe myself. The sound under heavy accelaration is glorious and f1 like but i must be getting old because I want something more low key. Windows up its perfect you can have a conversation no problem but windows down its pretty loud.

OP, I think you'll be the first with this combination of exhaust.
