Increased Emissions
I have just under 29,000 miles on my 2009 sedan. i got an increased emissions, service engine soon message on my idrive today. The car drives fine and no reduced power message. The code is P2629O2 Sensor Pumping Current Trim Circuit/Open Bank 2 Sensor 1.
My question is should I just reset the code and see if it comes back or take it in to the dealer and not clear the code. I have a cat back exhaust but no other mods. Could this issue be caused by a bolt on cat back exhaust? I am sure the dealer will blame the problem on the aftermarket exhaust.

Personally, I would try resetting first before going to the dealer. Can't hurt IMO and would save a trip to the dealer.

Drove about twenty miles today and the same message appeared. The only code I am seeing is the p2629. I guess I will have to take it into the dealer to get checked out. i am afraid they will blame my exhaust since they blame just about everything else on in from a rattle in the instrument cluster to rough cold starts.

Bank 2 pre-catalyst oxygen sensor pumping current calibration error
Engine temperature > K_LAVK_OBD_TMOT * Sensor temperature > K_LAVK_OBD_VK_TEMP * since recognition of overrun an air mass flow of K_LAVK_OBD_SA_ML_SUM must have occurred Oxygen sensor is available, sensor voltage > K_LAVK_OBD_SA_DIAG_OL 1. Check plug and wiring harness to pre-catalyst oxygen sensor forward of Bank 2 catalyst (especially IA trim wire) 2. If OK, replace oxygen sensor Replace that oxygen sensor, clear faults and see if any return.

Thanks Mike! I checked the wires but the message came back.
I finally took it in to the dealer today and they have ordered a new O2 sensor. The weird thing is the increased emissions message cleared itself a couple of times before I took it in. I should get the car back tomorrow if all goes well.
