e93 m3 dct noise

Hi guys

I just wanted to ask something on behalf of a friend. They have an m3 with 37k on the clock. And have noticed that at first start of the day when fully cold the gearbox makes a slight grinding noise when changing gears.

Its almost like the oils low or something but it goes when the car is warm. Any advice on what this could be?

What did the dealer say ?

Mine doesn't grind gear but I do get some trans whine around 2-2.5k for the first few minutes until the car warms up. I'll have the dealer replace the trans fluid at my next oil change.

This doesn't sound right. I would definitely recommend a trip to the dealer!

Yeah currently looking at getting it booked in but my mate is thinking of returning the car back to the trader now.

On m3cutters they said that some pipes of the system are weak and can leak so best to get it checked asap.

But no noise is supposed to come at all. It didn't for the first few weeks of ownership
