Fiat 500 - reliable?

Keep seeing lease ads in the paper for Fiat, $99/month. Crazy. My cell phone bill is more than that.

Kia Soul eh? How is that?

I had a Fiat 500 rental. I drove it in manual mode because the auto was rather lurchy. After 2 days the CE lamp came on. The rep asked me "Did you play with the manual?", I said "This car is an Automatic, I don't know how to drive manual cars".

Swapped it for a Dodge Challenger for the rest of the trip.

Funny cars.

its a POS overprice shitbox. Friend's wife had a Gucci version or whatever and it was just stupid. Interior was shit, transmission was shit, driving dynamics was shit, price was shit, and slow as shit. Its basically a worthless over priced hand bag for girls. Oh did I mention that it was a piece of shit? If even comparable, go for a mini.

To be honest, I haven't driven the soul since its purchase in the winter. Funny, I'm visiting my parents this weekend, so I'll report back with my impressions. My mom loves the car, but she likes the color a lot, so go figure.

yeah, agreed, I actually had sticker shock after test driving the 500. I felt like the price was way too high for what you get. And the ride quality was horrible. yeah it looks good, but that's about it with the 500.

Buy the 500 because you think it's cool, and only for that, because it doesn't hold a candle to the competition in any other metric. The mini is better in every way, as is something like a mazdaspeed3.
