AiB 4.0 (AngeliBright) vs. OEM

Just installed the EAS AiB 4.0 yesterday and thought I might throw a couple pics up in case people are interested in seeing the difference. Pics were taken in the dark. One pic the camera used the flash and the other pic is without the flash. I would say that the color difference is nice but the brightness is disappointing. In person they are not as bright as the pics make it appear. You be the judge.

Yea.. Brightness is always greater in pictures than real life. That front looks mean though. You should go OSS or something similar. I installed my OSS this past Sunday and it makes a huge huge difference.. The only thing that sucked was having to take off both front bumpers from my 335i and M3, swap the headlights, and put back on both bumpers by myself. It took around 4 hours

Yeah agreed. I want the OSS but don't have time right now to be without the car.

Well I had them. Never installed them. Sold them cause I wanted to do either OSS or the BavX ones but can't right now cause I need the car. Went to buy yesterday from LUX. Backordered. Saw these from EAS with the claims they were making about them and they had them in stock so I decided to give them a shot. I'd love to put a set of LUX in one side and these in the other to see the real difference. If anyone local wants to try this really quickly, let me know.

Have to agree on this, tried almost every plug-n-play options out there (AiB v4, WeissLicht, LUX), end up getting the OSS next week.

I just ordered these. I may be in the minority here but I don't care about the brightness. As long as they are as bright as stock (which they appear to be), I am satisfied.

What I am concerned with is color and even lighting of both rings. They appear to be much more even so that's good, but I am concerned about how the color appears to be a bit green. Is that the case, or is it the picture?

They are not green. But, they are def not as bright as oem when you compare them equidistant to a flat wall.

Interesting. In your first picture, they look to be of similar intensity. Judging from the second picture, the lighted area on the driveway seems to be a bit larger and brighter leading me to believe that the intensity is equal to or slightly greater than stock. Oh well, I trust you, I'll just have to wait and see if I like them.

One thought I did have though is that the "dished out" areas where the led reflects should not be coated black, they should be polished. I may try to do that and see if that helps. I'm not sure why they did that when the old ones weren't like that.

I just wanted to follow up on this. I polished the "dished out" area of my AiBs to see if that would improve the output. It seems to have improved output by about 18%. Polished on the driver's side, unpolished on the passenger's side:
